¡Una experiencia excelente! Ayer hicimos la excursión a Guatapé con Carlos y no podríamos haber quedado más satisfechos. Fue un conductor muy profesional y prudente, además de un guía excepcional: amable, atento, simpático y siempre dispuesto a compartir información interesante sobre los lugares que visitamos. Gracias a él disfrutamos de un día perfecto y sin preocupaciones. Una persona encantadora! ¡Muchísimas gracias también a Ana por la excelente organización! Sin duda, recomendamos esta experiencia al 100 %.

Utilizamos el servicio de transporte privado de Medellín a Guatapé y puedo decir que fue un viaje muy Recomendado. El Conductor fue una persona bastante amable, puntual. No llevó con seguridad a nuestro destino también nos enseñó lugares para comer y siempre estaba atento si queríamos parar en algún lado o él también nos recomendaba :)

*This is a late post - my friend and I went in August of 2025. The Guatape River and Waterfalls tour was the best excursion of my LIFE! Honestly, one of my favorite days I’ve ever had. Camilo brought my friend and me to a quiet and secluded area of a river outside Guatape, where there was a beautiful blue green swimming hole under a waterfall. As my friend and I started exploring the river, he set up a gorgeous brunch for us - sandwiches from a local shop, coffee, mimosas. He also set up chairs, mats to lay on in the sun, an umbrella, and binoculars for birdwatching. It was PARADISE. He told us he’d take some pictures of us enjoying the river so we wouldn’t have to worry about capturing the moment. she told us he’d be back in a few hours, and when he returned, he asked if we’d like to stay longer or wanted to go. We happily stayed. If I lived there, I would go there every day. Thank you Camilo!!

We had an excellent experience with Guatape Tours! We booked a sprinter van with them for 12 of us, which was super clean, very comfortable and with air conditioning, to go from Medellin to Guatape and back later that same day. Our driver Christian was wonderful. He was on time, knowledgeable about the area and activities and very friendly. He drove us to hike La Piedra del Penol and then recommended an excellent place for lunch afterwards which he took us too. Afterwards he dropped us off near the malecón to walk and tour the town. It was a great day trip and I appreciated Guatape Tours checking in with me throughout the day and even before to make sure that everything was going smoothly. I highly recommend booking any trip with them!

We are fairly new to bird watching and are so glad we chose this tour. It was 100% worth it. We were picked up early around 6:30 by Carmilo who was gracious, warm, and engaging. The tour began with a typical Colombian breakfast. I unfortunately do not like eggs but they accommodated me with yogurt, granola, and toasted bread. Our guide Winston knows his birds! He is an expert and author and in 3+ hours we were amazed to see 46 birds, 44 of which were lifers! Be ready to walk with some inclines and keep close to Winston! You know how quickly birds can appear and flush in seconds. Prized sightings were the bar-crested antshrike, chestnut-headed oropendola, and olivaceous piculet - the tiniest woodpecker in Colombia.

Used their car service from the airport to Guatape then Guatape to Medellin and everything was excellent. Communication was great as well as great drivers. I wanted to adjust the time of a ride after hotel granted late checkout and it was not a problem at all. Also found their prices to be more competitive than some others. Can’t recommend enough.

We were a group of 3 families with kids ages 13-20 and everyone took away amazing sights (titi monkeys!) and memories from the bird watching and waterfall experience. Camilo and remote guatape assembles the best experts across many fields ensuring safety, fun and insightful tours. Would highly recommend to anyone (all ages)!

My Mom & I did two different tours (tuk tuk and the boat) with Guateoe Tours and it was absolutely AMAZING. The excellent communication beforehand, the professional facilitators, and the positive energy led to unforgettable memories. I highly recommend them for their flexibility with us and their first-class guides.

We did the bird watching tour and it was one of the best tours we ever did. Winston our tour guide is an absolute legend and we could really feel his passion for nature and of course the birds. The organisation and communication was also really reliable and forthcoming. All in all 10/10, will visit again!

What a deliciously fun experience! Our family had so much fun learning to make empanadas in the traditional way. Our host welcomed us into his very home and treated us like family friends. He was knowledgeable in the history of the food and region. This is a must-do if you are in the area!!!

From start to finish the transport arrangements & tour were very well organised. Ana was very responsive & patient with my timing adjustments. The driver/tour guide were punctual, professional & friendly. If in the area again I would definitely use this company - just perfect 🤩

We had an amazing coffee tour experience with our tour guide Laura. She showed us the entire coffee creation process from start to finish and we learned a lot. We even got to enjoy freshly brewed coffee at the end of the tour. It was a beautiful area and we highly recommend.

Laura was a fantastic guide! She had lots of local knowledge to share and was incredibly friendly. Our birding location hosts served a delicious breakfast. Our birding guide, Winston, was highly knowledgeable. Together we saw 66 species over about 3.5 hours. Excellent tour!

We have spent two days in Guatape organised by Ana. It was a very easy communication, and all services very professionnal: drivers, guides (en français) ane speed boat+wakeboard on the lake ...thank you again for these great familly moments

Wonderful private experience. We really enjoyed the authentic visit to a locals home and learning how to make fresh Colombian empanadas with our kids aged 11 and 6. Very hands on but easy to understand. Thank you for the hospitality!

I had the most wonderfull day traveling around (with 17 friends!) from Medellín to Guatapé and back. It included the perfect stops, navigating in Guatapé, and the best recommendations for Guatapé's town. Absolutley recommended!!

Our experience was amazing! The local fruit tasting was delicious and we had lots of fresh flavors. The guides provided exceptional service, making our trip memorable. We'll definitely be back for another day at the river!
