Refund and Cancellation Policy

At Remote Guatapé, we strive to offer flexible and customer-friendly travel experiences. Our refund and cancellation policy is designed to balance reasonable options for our guests with the operational commitments and costs required to prepare our unique tours and services.

Standard Cancellation:48-Hour Free Cancellation: Guests may cancel their booking at no cost if cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the scheduled tour or service. Full refunds will be processed, minus any non-refundable transaction fees (approximately 7%).

Late Cancellation: If cancellation occurs within 24 to 48 hours before the scheduled start, a 50% refund of the booking cost will be provided. Transaction fees incurred are non-refundable.

No Refunds Once the Tour Has Started:
No refunds will be provided once the tour or service has started.

Force Majeure:
Refunds (up to 90%) may be considered in cases of force majeure (e.g., medical emergencies, death). Documentation is required, and the request will be evaluated by our legal team. Refunds will only be processed if no costs have already been incurred.

Private or Customized Tours:
Once a tour is customized or tailored to your needs, it is non-refundable. For personalized packages, refunds will only be processed after a 30-day review period. Multi-day tours and packages (coming soon) will not have partial refunds available.

Third-Party Providers:
In cases where services are provided by third-party partners (e.g., local farms, transport operators), their individual cancellation policies may also apply. Remote Guatapé will process refunds up to 90% in such cases, minus any non-refundable transaction fees.

No-Show Policy:
No refunds will be provided for no-shows. However, we may offer a rescheduling option subject to availability and approval.

Weather-Related Cancellations:
Given Colombia’s unpredictable weather, if conditions make it impossible to proceed with a tour, we offer a 90% refund or one free rescheduling. Additional reschedulings may be subject to availability and approval.

Refund Processing:
Refunds for cancellations made within the permissible windows will be processed within 24 to 72 hours. For international transfers, processing times may vary depending on your bank or card issuer. We will provide proof of refund processing from our side, but we are not responsible for additional delays caused by financial institutions.
