Is it safe to travel to Guatape?

Yes. Guatapé is a safe destination for travelers and its been safe for a few decades now. The actual town has more than 40 cameras for security concerns and there are many Police Officers, Military and Civic guards around the town and its surroundings all the time. However, take precautions against petty theft though it’s not common.
